Brightwave joins 'Beyond e-Learning' DTI mission
Lars Hyland travels to the US this week to exchange information with leading technology and learning experts
Sponsored by the UK Department of Trade and Industry's Global Watch Service, the 'Beyond e-Learning' mission is visiting Boston and the San Francisco Bay area this week to exchange information and best practices in the design and delivery of corporate and academic e-learning content.
Lars Hyland, Director of Learning Services for Brightwave, is delighted to be part of the DTI mission. "Being part of the mission strengthens Brightwave's position as thought-leaders within the bespoke e-learning industry. We will be looking closely at what commercial partnership opportunities this may present, but, more importantly, how new research can help organisations in the UK to improve their learning solutions."
Lars will be looking closely at areas such as game-based learning, mobile learning, e-learning and blended learning design best practice, as well as evaluation research and performance measurement.
The mission aims to explore the latest research, business and technical innovations - in particular around the use of simulation and mobile technologies (m-learning) - as well as understand new approaches to using technology in organisational learning. The small group of UK representatives will also take the opportunity to promote international technology-based collaboration and gain market knowledge.
A report from the mission will be launched at a seminar in the UK on 7 September. If you would like to receive an invitation to the seminar or have any questions relating to the mission, please email us.
