Brightwave and BSkyB win IVCA Award for Internal Multimedia
Health and safety introduction course wins Silver at the International Visual Communication Association Awards
The innovative health and safety training programme was produced by Brightwave, the UK's fastest-growing e-learning provider, and is being rolled out to 12,000 BSkyB employees across the UK and Ireland by the end of this year. BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting) is the leading provider of digital television services in the UK and Ireland.
The IVCA judges commented that it is a "highly interactive course using a strong mix of different media, delivered within a clean design and user-friendly interface."
"This award is proof of all the hard work that went into creating the course and making sure it met our objectives to significantly enhance employee knowledge about health and safety, as well as providing coherent and engaging training in line with our brand values as an entertainment company," said Dominic Wigley, Health and Safety Manager for BSkyB. "The feedback so far has been excellent and this award will help us to further promote the course internally."
"The programme is an outstanding example of how to turn a traditionally dry subject such as health and safety into an interactive and engaging learning experience," said Lars Hyland, Director of Learning Services for Brightwave. "We are delighted that it has received the recognition it thoroughly deserves."
The IVCA Awards are recognised internationally as marks of excellence for effective business communication in corporate video, live events, multimedia projects, business television and websites.
