FAQs for users
I've tried to enter a session and it says it isn't open yet, or it is full - what should I do?
If it isn't open yet, then check the time of the session in the session planner - you may just have joined a bit early - you can't enter the session room until approximately five minutes before it starts. If it says it is full, check the schedule as there should be another one soon - if not, then email us at enquiries@livetimelearning.co.uk and let us know stating the session title, time and date.
I'm having trouble with my password.
All passwords must be at least 6 characters, and you need at least one number and one capital letter. If you've forgotten your password, click on the 'Forgot your password' link when you try to log in and it will email you a new one.
You can always change your password to something easier to remember as long as it complies with the above rules.
How do I know if I can run LiveTime Learning on my computer?
There's a simple test - click here and it will check out your machine. Note, it may try and install an Adobe Connect Add-in - it doesn't matter if this doesn't install.
I'm confused about how to join the sessions.
You can join a session by going to the 'session planner'- just click on the session you want to join and it will take you there. Alternatively, you can click on the session and add it to your calendar when you are planning your training. A reminder will pop up just before the session is about to start.
NB: Remember sessions do not open until shortly before they are broadcast
Why can’t I find recordings of all sessions?
Recordings are added to the library as and when the sessions are broadcast, so keep checking the recordings library regularly as we add to it every week.
I am in a session and it is running a bit slow/the sound is dropping a bit
When you're in a session, you can choose 'My Connection Speed' and select an appropriate connection speed to match your internet connection. Reducing the connection speed setting can improve performance. Just choose the 'Meeting' tab, then 'Manage My Settings' and then ‘My Connection Speed’. 'DSL / Modem' is usually the best setting to use.
If you have persistent problems, contact us.
FAQs for administrators
Technical spec - what is it?
The headlines are that your users will need internet access, Flash, audio capability and headphones. Click here to see the full technical specifications.
Will it require a lot of technical support?
No - the main thing is you'll need to make sure your users have internet connection, Flash 10.1 or above, sound capability and headphones, and typically, you may need to help them if they forget their password!
Who do I contact for technical support?
Your users should contact their internal IT helpdesk in the first place. They should be able to deal with most issues - but if you need more technical support, email us at support@livetimelearning.co.uk. There may be a small charge for support.
Can anyone access this?
Only licensed and registered users can access the service. When you sign up to the service, you provide us with the names of your users and we will register them. All we need is an Excel or CSV file with their details. We'll provide you with the format we need for their information.
Is it accessible?
The system uses Adobe Connect which has accessibility features. These are described in the Help section within Adobe Connect.
