DIARY DATES - Design e-learning for impact with Brightwave

29 April 2010: Brightwave’s Lars Hyland to run Learning Skills Group webinar whilst MD Charles Gould presents at PPA Annual Conference

Lars Hyland, Director of Learning Services at Brightwave, the e-learning development company of the year, will run a webinar for the Learning Skills Group (LSG) on 29 April at 12pm exploring what key ingredients are necessary to create impactful e-learning. The one hour webinar, hosted by Donald H Taylor, is free to LSG members and will examine why good design is essential for the implementation of effective e-learning.

Lars will share a series of tips that make all the difference to whether e-learning succeeds or fails with examples from Brightwave’s award-winning programmes for brands such as Sky, EDF Energy and Vodafone. Key subjects covered in the webinar include avoiding death by LMS, ensuring e-learning is learner and performance-centric, creating meaningful and memorable interactions with learners and top tips for design success.

To attend the LSG 'Designing e-learning for impact' webinar on 29 April, send your name, organisation, title and telephone number to sam.brackley@brightwave.co.uk.

On the same day, Brightwave’s MD, Charles Gould, will speak at the Periodical Publishers Association’s (PPA’s) annual conference ‘Inspiration and Innovation for Publishing in 2010’ – a conference focused on key digital issues facing the publishing industry. The presentation on 29 April from Charles will lead the ‘Meeting in the Virtual World’ session and investigate the potential for online learning and the business case for seeing it through.
