October 2010 - Brightwave newsletter
Brightwave - E-learning Development Company of the Year 2009

Welcome to the October newsletter

The mood was bullish and optimistic at our 'Delivering Change with E-Learning' event in Scotland on Sept 16th. Everyone was upbeat about the benefits that e-learning could bring for business, learner and purse. 88% of delegates attending said they are planning on increasing e-learning and crucially, they expect this to improve the quality and level of service their organisations can provide.

Not surprisingly, the common challenges remain engaging learners and getting to the next level of effectiveness. Clear objectives and good design help and we were honoured to hear powerful ROI stories from forward-thinking Brightwave clients: City of Edinburgh and South Lanarkshire Councils and Sky. Get in touch if you'd like to view slides and case studies from the event.

And a whopping 200 people joined us for our webinar "How to implement successful live online training" which demonstrated how the medium can play a unique and valuable part in your L&D strategy. If you missed it, fret not, we have put together a free guide which will help you make the right decisions.

Also, check out a great article, recently published in eLearning Age, from our Head of Learning Design, James Cory-Wright about how brand-led learning design better aligns employees with corporate strategy and customers.
