Systems training

Let people loose on your new system without risk

Sometimes perceived as the ugly duckling when really it's the beautiful swan, IT systems training is perfectly suited to e-learning. It's where the learner is shown a simulation of the new system or software they need to learn.

Take a look at our systems training video below to find out more.

'Show me / Try it' is a proven approach to computer systems training and we've developed hundreds of hours of this type of training. Clients as diverse as Bupa and Hollywood's Universal Pictures have both benefited from this methodology.

'Test me' is simulation-based training which faithfully reproduces the system but with no help available. 'Watch and listens' are also proving popular, where you're walked through a movie of the system procedures, listening to an audio commentary as you go.

Benefits of computer systems training

There are many benefits to providing computer system training for your employees:

  • Produce a true-to-life simulation of your actual system or software using an innovative simulation based training programme.
  • Provide learners with the chance to practice new systems in a safe environment where mistakes don't matter.
  • Protect your investment - by teaching employees how to use your new system in the most effective way possible.
  • Business systems training suits different learning styles with different modes - 'Show me / Try it' and 'Test me'.
  • Give feedback every step of the way via the 'Show me / Try it' mode.

Systems training case study: EDF Cear

EDF needed training to launch alongside the rollout of a new system they had introduced in response to a new piece of legislation about customer complaints.

The 'Show me / Try it' systems training element allowed learners to choose whether to watch a simulation of the system in action or to go straight ahead and have a go with the simulation themselves.
