The UK's leading health insurer Bupa has delivered a competency assessment e-learning programme in collaboration with workplace e-learning specialist Brightwave. Almost 20 hours of assessments were designed and delivered in fewer than ten days using Brightwave's best practice development processes.
With a tight schedule being a key driver for rapid development, Brightwave employed its tried and tested development process resulting in the delivery of 46 individual assessments in under two weeks. The new assessments are designed to test Bupa employees on a variety of their products and processes.
"With regularly changing requirements, this type of rapid development enables us to keep our employees on top of any changes at the time of need," explained Clare Shell, e-Learning Manager, Bupa UK Health Insurance. "With Brightwave we were able to ensure delivery of these assessments within a very short period of time. Brightwave's knowledge of our systems, branding, users and functionality also enabled a smooth transition from design to final delivery and launch of the assessments." added Clare Shell.
The competency assessments, created using Brightwave's authoring tool called BILD, were built based on the existing body of work that Brightwave has developed for Bupa over a successful five year relationship. Bupa has also licensed the BILD tool to enable just in time development and amendments to the programme.
"Even within a very tight schedule, Brightwave's best practice methodology enables us to design and deliver real benefits to our clients. Rapid development demands a collaborative approach. With Bupa we were able to work flexibly and efficiently in partnership to meet challenging, but necessary targets," concluded Virginia Barder, Director of Projects at Brightwave.
