Nomura selects Brightwave for anti-money laundering training
Using scenario driven e-learning to reach different target audiences
The global financial services group Nomura has selected Brightwave, the workplace e-learning and performance specialist, to create a highly engaging online course about anti-money laundering that is to be rolled out to their 1,500 UK employees.
"Money laundering is a major concern for most financial services organisations, and especially for those that trade globally," said David Bernardi, Compliance Officer for Nomura. "To make sure that our employees are completely up to date with the latest legislation, we decided to create an online course that staff can go through at their own pace and at a time convenient to them."
Tracking the training was an important factor in Nomura's choice of e-learning. As with most other legal requirements, organisations have to provide evidence that their employees have taken the training and passed the assessment at an acceptable level. Results and completion levels can be automatically uploaded into a company's learning management or HR system.
"In addition to the fundamental e-learning course, we will also develop interactive scenarios for specific target groups to contextualise the learning," said Charles Gould, Managing Director for Brightwave. "These scenarios will help the learner to understand how the concepts apply in their situation to make the training practical and directly applicable. This is another example of how Brightwave is helping organisations create effective and integrated e-learning programmes."
