Brightwave wins double gold with PwC and Bupa Health & Wellbeing UK
Brightwave has scooped TWO prestigious gold E-Learning Awards in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and Bupa Health & Wellbeing UK. The E-Learning Awards are organised by Bizmedia and honour the best in e-learning. The awards showcase the astonishing range and quality of e-learning within the private, public and not for profit sectors.
Brightwave and PwC won the gold e-learning award for ‘Meeting the needs of compliance for an external regulator or an internal workforce’. Brightwave and Bupa Health & Wellbeing UK scooped the ‘Best use of rapid e-learning content’ trophy.
Charles Gould, Brightwave’s MD said: “Following a highly successful year for us as E-learning development company of the year, we’re absolutely thrilled to top it off with two further E-Learning Gold Awards.
“Both awards recognise the magnificent design and customer-led approach the whole team embraces at Brightwave and our commitment to make a real impact for all of our clients. Brightwave and PwC's Compliance e-learning award recognises the design and business impact of a bespoke video e-learning portal created to train all PwC employees in 'Independence'. Core to PwC's brand values 'Independence' demonstrates this leading professional service firm’s commitment to integrity and objectivity. Not only did the portal create a memorable, personalised and applied learning experience that changed behaviour, but it also provided a better assessment practice and robust audit trail.
The PwC winning project was also commended for its effective use of video content, which Brightwave developed in partnership with Nice Media.
Who says compliance is boring? Certainly not this entry, which met the requirements of an external regulator with great creativity. Its use of witty and engaging video clips even made the judges laugh. e.learning age.
The best use of rapid e-learning content award recognises Brightwave and Bupa's large scale rapid e-learning programme, incorporating 400 modules and 60 competency tests. At the end of last year, the health and care business introduced a new operating system to improve business efficiency, speed of service and offer more choice for its customers. Called SWIFT, the system can process invoices for treatment and payments in real time, store all data and information in one place and enable flexible cover options to meet different customers’ needs. Brightwave and Bupa created the e-learning programme to effectively train staff to use the new unified system in time for an ambitious go live deadline. Collaboration and trust were essential to the success of the project with Bupa and Brightwave creating one multi-skilled team to respond to a dynamic business environment.
Bupa and Brightwave’s large-scale solution to a business-critical challenge was applauded by the judges. The company was replacing a tangle of 80 IT systems with a single platform and a single skillset. To avoid disruption to customers, all staff needed to be fully trained in the new system and the cultural change it required by the time the 14-week IT delivery window had closed. e.learning age.
Brightwave has also held the coveted E-learning development company of the year accolade over the last year.
