Project Coordinator

Job Description

Brightwave is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Project Coordinator to support the production of our bespoke e-learning projects. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience in all aspects of multi-media project production with potential to develop as a project manager in the future.

The Project Coordinator works closely with the Project Manager to support a project throughout the whole lifecycle.

To manage the version control, storage and distribution of all project documents.

To monitor progress of activities on projects to ensure that production runs smoothly and to schedule.

To monitor and resolve issues on projects prior to releasing deliverables. To assist in the QA and testing of deliverables. To release deliverables to clients following agreed processes.

To adhere to Brightwave quality procedures and project controls.

To support the project manager in a range of activities such as maintenance of project logs, organisation and minuting of meetings, booking of resources for projects, production of purchase orders, invoicing, helping with project closure.

According to skills and experience, the role may also include elements of e-learning development, testing and QA and basic graphics work.

Skills

  • Highly organised and methodical approach to work. Ability to understand and follow processes.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform calmly and accurately even under pressure.
  • Ability to work on a number of projects concurrently and to prioritise.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral, both internally and with clients.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive approach are essential.

Any experience in e-learning or related industry would be an advantage.

Senior Instructional Designer

Brightwave is seeking an enthusiastic e-learning Instructional Designer with at least 4 years experience to join our team.

This is a permanent role but if you are committed to freelancing and have relevant experience, we are also always on the look-out for experienced freelancers to support our projects.

Skills

As well being able to take a brief and come up with the right approach and expressing it as a detailed written design, we are especially keen on your ability to:

  • Establish a good rapport and relationship with clients.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of relevant technologies and identify technical possibilities and constraints.
  • Thoroughly specify and visualise ideas.
  • Actively communicate with colleagues from the graphical, technical, project management and sales functions.
  • Conceive and write creative treatments for proposals.

  • Support and mentor junior designers and scriptwriters.

Freelance Graphic Designers

Brightwave is seeking experienced Freelance Graphic Designers to help meet the demands of our growing portfolio of bespoke e-learning projects.

To take a brief and to realise appropriate, imaginative and engaging visual solutions for our clients.

To work with a team and to produce graphics that are consistent with existing styles, standards and specifications.

To work from detailed designs to produce high quality Flash animations, flat graphics and illustrations. To prepare and treat photographs ready for integration into our e-learning courseware.

You will work from our offices in Brighton though there may be opportunities for you to work at home.

  • Knowledge and experience of other relevant technologies is desirable. Experience of working in a PC-based environment.

Brightwave is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage its expanding portfolio of bespoke e-learning projects and to help manage development of key client accounts.

Role overview:

To manage the design, development and delivery of bespoke e-learning solutions.

To work alongside account managers to develop and foster lasting relationships and accounts with clients.

To take full ownership of projects and to ensure projects are delivered to quality, timescale and budget expectations.

To work collaboratively with our clients to ensure the efficient delivery of reliable, effective and appropriate solutions within agreed timescales and which meet client expectations.

To adhere to Brightwave quality procedures and project controls.

To plan, monitor and control project budgets.

To plan, schedule and manage project tasks, resources and teams.

To communicate effectively with sales and marketing.

Essential Skills

  • Proven track record managing e-learning or multi-media projects over 100K.
  • Excellent face-to-face and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable client management skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  • Influential team leader and effective people manager.
  • Commercial sense and basic financial skills.
  • Creative approach to multimedia/online development.

Desirable skills/experience

  • Project management experience within an e-learning environment.
  • Broad technical understanding of technologies used in multimedia developments.
  • Understanding of the e-learning design and scriptwriting process.

Software Developer

Job Description

Brightwave is seeking a software developer to join its growing team in the development of bespoke e-learning projects and its suite of online e-learning tools and applications.

Skills

  • Sound and proven experience of working with ASP.Net, HTML, CSS and a thorough knowledge of Javascript
  • Awareness of web standards and accessibility issues
  • Ability to work as part of an existing team
  • You will be able to work well under pressure and to take pride in delivering work of a consistently high standard and to agreed deadlines
  • Experience and understanding of the e-learning industry and e-learning technologies is desirable but not essential
