KnowledgePool and Brightwave to Deliver E-learning Programme for Nestlé

Date posted: Sept 2003

Business process training for all Nestlé staff

Brightwave, the specialist e-learning content developer, and KnowledgePool, the worldwide learning solutions provider, have been selected by Nestlé, the world’s largest food and beverage company, to develop, in conjunction with its GLOBE Programme, a series of online learning programmes for more than 250,000 employees.

The use of e-learning offers Nestlé many benefits:

  • Rapid content creation and deployment.
  • Nestlé brand reinforcement with corporate style, structure and functionality.
  • Course modules built following best practice in sound instructional design.
  • Rigorous measurement of training through testing.
  • Maintenance of e-learning content that can be achieved in-house.
  • Development of a repository of re-useable learning objects.
  • Reduced cost of training provision.

David Welham, Director of Learning Technology at KnowledgePool and Lars Hyland, Director of Learning Services at Brightwave agreed; “Nestlé’s requirements for this project are quite specific. They need effective learning content that can be maintained and updated in-house. The development processes used by our organisations can be designed to include the Nestlé corporate look and feel, together with facilities to ensure effective learning that can be measured and recorded within their existing learning management system.”
